Chairman Message

I would like to thank all of our shareholders for your continued support of LITALICO.

We have been addressing social issues, with a vision of "creating an obstacle-free society".

What is an "obstacle"?

There are people who are bundled as "disabled persons" due to having significant difficulty in social life. However, can we not overcome the "difficulty to move" if there is an awesome wheelchair that makes it possible for a physically handicapped person to move around easily? Or can we not overcome the "difficulty to work" if there is a common workplace where a person with strong mental anxiety can work in peace? There are diverse people in society. I believe that we can overcome any obstacles if there are services and technologies within society that could realize the diverse ways of living.

Obstacles are created by and within a society, not by an individual.

Based on these ideas, we have developed "LITALICO Works", an employment support service for persons who have difficulty working, personalized learning classrooms "LITALICO Junior" for children who have difficulty learning, and IT & Manufacturing classrooms "LITALICO Wonder". Furthermore, in 2015, we started online businesses. In addition to "LITALICO Development Navi", a developmental disability portal site, and "LITALICO Work Navi", an employment information site for people with disabilities, we also launched "LITALICO Career" in February 2019, which is a job transfer support service for persons who want to work in the field of disability welfare.
We have also commercialized "LITALICO Life", to support the life of children with disabilities and their families.

I believe a crucial theme is how we face diverse people worldwide as globalization advances.
We want to create a society for a person instead of creating a person for the society and economy. We want to design a new person-centered society so that diverse people can be happy. Eventually, we want to build a large society where each person’s diversity can be transformed into the world’s power. These are the goals of LITALICO.

Our company name "LITALICO" was coined by combining two Japanese words: "lita (利他)" meaning altruism and "lico (利己)" meaning self-centeredness. This is a philosophy brand that signifies our concept and value – making an involved person happy will lead to our own happiness. I think that one of the good natures of Japanese people is the "compassion for others." When the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred, the Japanese people’s "spirit of lita" gave courage and hope to not only the people in the earthquake-affected areas but also throughout Japan and the world.

On March 17, 2017, LITALICO changed its listing market from the Mothers Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange to the First Section of the same. We sincerely appreciate each and every one of the service users, client companies, shareholders, and related individuals for your cooperation and for giving us the opportunity to address social issues.

By listing our stocks, we are committed to leading the shareholders’ support to the resolution of the social issues, and to realize a more transparent management based on the market disciplines.
Moreover, for the realization of our visions, we will continue to devote ourselves to accelerating business speed and enhancing corporate value in order to become a highly reliable company.
We thank you for your continued understanding and support.
